Week 6 Number 13

I can see the usefullness of del.icio.us when trying to access favorites from a different computer. I had fun searching the site on and discovering new links to some of my favorite topics. I think it is more useful as a social site than for research. If I were looking for recommended websites strickly for research purposes I would prefer to use a site such as librarians internet index ()which has a much cleaner approach and the sites have been reviewed.

Week 5 Thing 12
I explored rollyo and created a search roll for some yoga sites.

Week 5 Thing 11

LibraryThing seemed very user friendly and a fun way to discover new reads.
I think library patrons with some technical leanings would benefit from the site.

Week 5 Thing 10

The result of my generator explorations:

Week 4 Thing 9

Merlin does seem like a useful site. I added it to my growing list of feeds. I thought that Bloglines search tool was easier to use and returned more relevant sites to my search than the others I explored.
Week 4 Thing 8

Having updated information in one place can be useful. Setting up the account in bloglines was routine. Once I figured out how to add the first feeds it was easy to add others. Now I find myself looking for that feed icon on all the websites I visit. My list includes the General Fiction feed from Readers Club and the Library Journal book reviews.

Week 3 Thing 7

I had a call this week from a friend living in Japan. He called my computer using skype and I actually saw him on my computer screen talking and giving me a mini tour of his apartment. For a technology sceptic like myself it was quite amazing. However, I don't think I will be attaching a video camera to my computer anytime in the near future!
